Thrifty Gift Wrapping.

I am a big fan of brown parcel paper. I have rolls and rolls of the stuff. It is thick and cheap and can be dressed up in lots of different ways. At Christmas I do usually splurge on festive ribbons to dress up Christmas presents, but if I did that all the time it would work out much more expensive than buying normal wrapping paper.

So after a trip with the children to Tring Natural History Museum (Fleas in dresses! What’s not to like?), we took a little wander around the town and inevitably ended up having a mooch in a couple of the charity shops. I found a basket of stamps that were 50p each, I decided on a flower design and then the following week picked up a tiny ink stamp for £1.25 from a local craft store.

And there we have it. Prettily decorated wrapping paper for next to nothing.

I will be on the look out for more stamps in different designs. I have discovered they are handy things to have.
